Our story and vision

We always thought of everything, until it became too much.

We are Yvonn and Henning, parents of two children, and we both work. We share our calendar, keep shopping lists and coordinate with each other. We are actually well organized. Even so, we experienced first-hand how much of family life keeps running in your head.

When do the kids need new shoes? What is missing for daycare? Who is getting the present for Saturday? Even in the evening on the sofa, when there was really nothing left to do, we were already thinking about the next tasks.

The problem wasn't that we were badly organized. The problem was that family life demands so much organizing.

We were looking for a way to bring appointments, tasks, shopping and important information together. We wanted to keep track together and share responsibility, without one of us constantly having to think of everything.

That idea became famagic. In 2026 we founded our company in Berlin. While building it, we asked more than a hundred parents what weighs on them in everyday family life and what support they are missing. Their experiences and feedback still shape how we develop it today.

Today famagic is available for iPhone and Android. The app brings appointments, tasks, shopping and meal planning together in one place. Together with families, we keep developing famagic so that support arrives where it is needed in everyday life.

Being a parent shouldn't mean living in organizing mode all the time.

We want a family life in which parents can switch off in their heads, too. They should be able to be there for their children, do their jobs and find time for their relationship and for themselves, without the next task always at the back of their minds.

To get there, we want to reduce the invisible mental work of family life: thinking ahead, remembering, planning and coordinating. Information should be accessible to everyone involved. Responsibility should become visible and easier to share.

Our vision includes all kinds of families. Whether you live together as a couple, raise your children on your own, or coordinate as a patchwork family or as co-parents: good support should fit your everyday life, even across households.

Technology shouldn't demand even more attention. It should give attention back.

That is why famagic aims to bring information together clearly and help families keep track of things. AI can help turn a photo of a school letter into suggestions for appointments and tasks. Parents review the suggestions and decide for themselves what to take on.

For us, whether our work helps shows in families' everyday lives: Does coordinating get easier? Can tasks be shared? Do parents have to keep fewer things in their heads? That is the yardstick by which we want to keep developing famagic together with you.

We want to give families more of their time back and make room for the things that make their everyday lives good.
