Does famagic cost money?
We fund famagic through partnerships with companies that offer real value to families (without selling your data). We may eventually move individual features into a Premium membership, but there are no concrete plans yet.
Which devices does it run on?
famagic is available as an app for iPhone and Android. In the future the app can also be used on iPad and tablets, and it syncs in real time across all the devices in your family.
Is data shared with the family?
You decide what gets shared. Lists and calendars, for example, can stay private and/or be made visible to all family members. Family information is shared between parents so everyone stays up to date.
Is there a web version?
The web app for laptop use is in active development and is expected to launch in fall/winter 2026. Already today you can share many features with people who don't need to install the app — Play Dates or birthdays, for example.
How does the AI recipe search work?
You can pick recipes from the community, create your own, or (a little later) import them. On request, the AI suggests individual recipes or a weekly plan that you can freely rearrange, swap, or regenerate. The ingredients go straight to your shopping list if you want. Your family's preferences and intolerances are taken into account automatically. You can also share recipes with the community and friends.
